Dinner by the Sea- Blue Sail Restaurant Review

Blue Sail at Cable Beach in Nassau offers a stunning beachfront setting that truly enhances the dining experience, especially on special occasions like Easter. However, the menus could use a refresh — they appeared worn and printed on old paper, which detracted a bit from the otherwise elegant ambiance. The Easter menu, beautifully presented in a protected table topper, was a lovely touch, showcasing the special dishes for the night.

Although we arrived without a reservation, the host seated us at a somewhat unstable table and didn’t introduce our server, leaving us to seek out service ourselves. Wanting to better enjoy the view, we requested a table change, which was accommodated after a short wait. Once we placed our order—apps, drinks, and entrees all at once—the service picked up.

The highlight was undoubtedly the sushi, a delightful lobster and steak combo with a satisfying crunch that made it memorable. My wagyu beef burger was mostly enjoyable, though it was missing the mushrooms and the ketchup had an overly vinegary taste. The fries, however, were perfectly cooked. My friend’s wings and pizza were well-received.

Despite a few service hiccups and minor menu presentation issues, Blue Sail proved to be a wonderful choice for Easter dinner. The beautiful atmosphere and tasty dishes make it a spot worth returning to.For Blue Sail at Cable Beach, I’d rate the food 4 out of 5 stars—the sushi was exceptional, though a few small misses like the missing mushrooms and vinegar-like ketchup brought it down a bit.

The atmosphere earns a solid 4.5 thanks to the beautiful beach view and elegant Easter setup, despite the worn menus. Service would be a 2.5 because of the slow start, lack of server introduction, and the need to ask for service.

Averaging these, the overall rating comes to about 3.7 whisks out of 5. It’s a lovely place with room for some improvements, but definitely worth a return visit.

Blue Sail was food super fabulous this time I visited. I always go there but the food was extra delicious. The waitress said they got a new chef so I see why. I truly enjoyed the food and view.
