JWB Prime Steak House: A Night of Ups and Downs

Stepping into JWB Prime Steak House, the initial impression is promising. The staff, particularly those on the front lines, exude warmth and professionalism. My server was incredibly patient and attentive, managing the outdoor section with grace, even on a slower night. (Given the season)The outdoor seating, though a bit lacking in detail, offers a pleasant ambiance.
The bar service was questionable, maybe too excited to show their craftsmanship led to a lot of mistakes in ordered drinks neat brandy was served with a beautiful balled ice and a well-selected Cabernet, lacked the robust flavor that of a Classic Cab has. However, the culinary experience also had its hiccups. The filet mignon was not cooked to perfection, and was also not the temperature ordered, this was a truly a disappointment as I don’t think steamed steak would be the choice of the service regardless the temperature requested. The wedge salad, however, was not the traditional lettuce so it brought a taste of innovation to a classic dish, but it was still missing the promised bacon. It's these small details that can elevate a dining experience from good to great. It’s a-shame the server had to pull it together to lift the experience to match the ambiance.
While the hostess maintained a respectful demeanor, it was evident that there might be some behind-the-scenes challenges. The ashtray situation, while allowing for outdoor smoking, was a bit questionable.
Overall, JWB Prime Steak House offers a decent dining experience with the potential to be exceptional. With some attention to detail and consistency, it could easily become a go-to spot when craving something closer to a luxury restaurant in the Bahamas.
